All of the old games' Battle Tree contenders use their original themes. Even Cynthia, who (like Anabel) has already had revamped versions of her theme in the past. So I wouldn't consider that to be evidence that SM's Anabel came from the original games' universe. A more compelling point might be that Looker says Anabel used to protect a tower (obviously implied to be the Battle Tower), which doesn't exist yet in ORAS... but we're not sure of the timeline between SM and ORAS, so it's fully possible that construction of ORAS's Battle Tower was completed before the events of Sun and Moon.
