Stomp (Japanese: ふみつけ Trample) is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation I.

Effect

Generation I

Stomp inflicts damage and has a 30% chance of causing the target to flinch.

Stomp cannot make a target with a substitute flinch.

Generations II and III

If Stomp hits a Pokémon that had previously used Minimize, the damage dealt will now be doubled.

Stomp can be used as the second move of a Pokémon Contest combination, with the user gaining 1 bonus appeal point if Leer was used in the previous turn.

Generation IV

If Stomp hits a Pokémon that had previously used Minimize, its power will be doubled instead of the damage dealt (resulting in virtually the same effect).

Generation V

If Stomp hits a Pokémon that had previously used Minimize, the damage dealt will be doubled instead of its power (resulting in virtually the same effect).

Generation VI onwards

If the target has used Minimize, Stomp now bypasses accuracy checks to always hit, unless the target is in the semi-invulnerable turn of a move such as Dig or Fly.

Other effects

A Steenee that knows this move will evolve into Tsareena when leveled up.

Pokémon UNITE

In Pokémon UNITE, Stomp is Tsareena's first move. It is obtained by reaching level 5 as Steenee and upgrading Razor Leaf into it instead of Triple Axel. The user jumps up high and attacks enemies with their feet. When this move hits, deal damage to enemies and leave them unable to act for a short time. If Queenly Majesty is active, this move heals the user. At level 10, this move's damage is increased.
