Sticky Hold (Japanese: ねんちゃく Adhesion) is an ability introduced in Generation III. Six Pokémon have this ability. All Pokémon that have this ability are in the Indeterminate Egg Group.
Effect
In battle
This ability prevents the user's held item from being taken by Covet or Thief, traded by Trick or Switcheroo, or removed by Knock Off.
Outside of battle
From Pokémon Emerald onwards, Sticky Hold causes bites to occur more often while fishing.
