On their first visit, due to being dragged in there by {{p|Palkia}}, the player only has their partner and their hero. They are also prohibited from recruiting [[Pokémon]] in the dungeon.

On their first visit, due to being dragged in there by {{p|Palkia}}, the player only has their partner and their hero, who the deity accuses of distorting space without his permission, convinced by {{p|Darkrai}} posing as {{p|Cresselia}}. They are also prohibited from recruiting {{OBP|Pokémon|species}} in the dungeon. Interestingly, {{mdc|Drowzee|2}}, [[Sableye (Pokémon)#NPC appearances|Sableye]] and {{mdc|Dusknoir|2}}, all primary antagonists in the storyline, can be recruited here.


There is a locked room on the ninth floor of Deep Spacial Rift which contains a [[Treasure Box]].
Just like Mt. Travail, this dungeon has [[weather]] conditions on certain floors that will always occur. The weather is cloudy on floors 3, 4, and 10, sunny on floors 8, 14, and D5, foggy on floors 12, D1, and D2, rainy on floor D9. There is a high chance of Monster Houses, especially on floor 15.
