She first appears in [[AG179]], and is already acquainted with [[Brock]], [[Drew]] and [[Harley]]. She beat [[Drew]]'s {{p|Roselia}} in his first [[Pokémon Contest]], which caused him to burst into tears. Since then they seem to have become friends.

Since then they have become friends. They keep in touch and occasionally run into each other. She also noticed that Drew became more competitive, and she thinks {{an|May}} is the reason for this.

She was able to counter May's attacks as she had previously observed her battling style.
