Release information

This card was released as one of the XY Black Star Promos available in the Flashfire Single Pack Blisters from May 7, 2014. In Japan, it was released as one of the XY-P Promotional cards and was one of four possible promotional cards given to customers who purchased ¥1000 worth of Pokémon Card Game products at participating stores as part of the Corocoro Presents: XY Super Hot Start-Up Campaign, which launched on December 13, 2013 in celebration of the release of Collection XCollection Y. This print features the campaign logo in the bottom right corner of the artwork.

A second Japanese print with the same promotional number was released as part of the 7-Eleven Limited Summer Campaign 2014. For every four booster packs purchased in one transaction at participating 7-Eleven stores, customers would receive a special pack containing one of four possible promotional cards. This print features a "Pokémon the movie XY" stamp in the bottom left corner of the artwork and the logo for Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction in the bottom right.
