'''Route 229''' (Japanese: '''２２９ばんどうろ''' ''Route 229'') is a route in northeastern [[Sinnoh]] located in the [[Battle Zone]]. It connects {{rt|228|Sinnoh}}, {{rt|230|Sinnoh}} and the [[Resort Area]].

The route had some major changes between {{2v2|Diamond|Pearl}} and {{v2|Platinum}}. In Platinum the second entrance into the [[Resort Area]] was removed (most likely due to the changes there). Also, the sea that connected to {{rt|230|Sinnoh}} is now gone, having been replaced with land, and the entire sea being solely on Route 230.
