'''Shadow Blast''' (Japanese: '''ダークブラスト''' ''Dark Blast'') is one of several [[Shadow move]]s available only in [[Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness]]. Like other Shadow moves, it is forgotten and replaced with another move once the Pokémon is [[Purification|purified]]. It is the [[signature move]] of [[Shadow Lugia]].

Shadow Blast is a Shadow version of {{m|Aeroblast}}. It deals damage and has an increased [[critical hit]] ratio.

 

As [[Shadow Pokémon]] cannot be traded, and since [[Pokémon Contest]]s do not exist in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, Shadow Blast cannot be used in Contests.

* Despite having the appearance of a [[special move]], this move is [[Physical move|physical]] because {{m|Aeroblast}} was physical in [[Generation III]].

* This move is similar in concept to {{DL|Aeroblast (move)|Aeroblast+}}, the signature move of [[Shadow Pokémon (GO)#Apex Shadow Pokémon|Apex Shadow Lugia]] in [[Pokémon GO]]. Both are improved variants of Aeroblast, signature to a specific individual Shadow Pokémon specimen.
