Screech (Japanese: いやなおと Unpleasant Tone) is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation I.

Effect

Screech decreases the target's Defense stat by two stat stages.

If powered up by a Normalium Z into Z-Screech, the user's Attack stat rises by one stage.

Description

Games Description StadStad2 A move that makes a horrible noise. It sharply reduces the target's Defense. GSC Sharply reduces the foe's Defense. RSE Emits a screech to sharply reduce the foe's Defense. FRLG An ear-splitting screech is emitted to sharply reduce the foe's Defense. ColoXD Screeches to sharply lower the target's Defense. DPPtHGSSPBR An earsplitting screech is emitted to sharply reduce the foe's Defense stat. BWB2W2 An earsplitting screech harshly reduces the target's Defense stat. XYORAS SMUSUM An earsplitting screech harshly lowers the target's Defense stat.
