Effect

The Sapphire is one of the components Celio needs to complete the Pokémon Network machine's connection to the Hoenn region. The Sapphire is originally housed on Six Island's Dotted Hole. Before the player can collect it however, it is stolen by a dishonest Scientist, Gideon, who retreats to Team Rocket's Warehouse on Five Island. Once the player defeats Team Rocket's Admins and Gideon, the player takes back the gem and delivers it to Celio. With it, the Network Machine is complete, and the player can trade with Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, as well as Pokémon Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness.
