Roman and Kylie first battled {{Ash}} and {{an|Brock}} and were easily defeated by them. They were about to battle {{an|May}} and {{an|Dawn}} when {{TRT}} broke into the restaurant and stole all of the food. Roman was upset by this and wondered what his father would say.


Chiaki and Chinatsu first battled with {{Ash}} and [[Brock]]. They were both easily defeated by them. Then they were to battle {{an|May}} and {{an|Dawn}}. After May and Dawn dealt with Team Rocket, Roman and Kylie officially started their battle with May and Dawn. Despite putting up a good fight, they were defeated in the end.
