'''Roland''' (Japanese: '''ヨーシチ''' ''Yōshichi'') is a [[character of the day]] who appeared in ''[[DP170|An Elite Coverup!]]'' and a relative of the [[Sinnoh]] [[Elite Four]] member [[Bertha]].

Roland gave his {{p|Magby}} to a [[List of Team Rocket's disguises|disguised]] {{TRT}} for them to raise and [[Evolution|evolve]] it into a {{p|Magmar}}, unaware of their true intentions. Afterward, he met {{Ash}} and {{ashfr}} and became attracted to his {{AP|Pikachu}}, which Roland later played with in a park.  

Later, with the help of his new friends—as well as Bertha—Roland was able to track down Team Rocket and be reunited with his Magby. With Bertha's encouragement, Roland had his Magby deliver the final blow to defeat Team Rocket.
