Relic Song (Japanese: いにしえのうた Ancient Song) is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation V. It is only learned by Meloetta through a tutor in Castelia City, and cannot be selected by Metronome.

Effect

Relic Song deals damage and has a 10% chance of putting the target to sleep. Relic Song hits all adjacent opponents.

When used by Meloetta in battle, it will also cause it to change between its Aria and Pirouette Formes.

In Black, White, Black 2, and White 2, a musician in Café Sonata will make Meloetta remember the move, which, story-wise, it had forgotten.

• Relic Song is the only move that deals damage and can put the target to sleep, regardless of battle location.
  • Secret Power can also do damage and put the opponent to sleep, but only when used in long grass^RSE or tall grass^{DPPtHGSSBWB2W2}.
• If Meloetta forgets the move, the player can return to the musician again to re-learn it. This will also repeat the cutscene.
