Red's Pikachu (game): Difference between revisions

The {{special|Yellow chapter}} is based off of Pokémon Yellow. The main character, {{special|Yellow}}, owns a female Pikachu named [[Chuchu]]. {{special|Red}} also owns a Pikachu named [[Pika]], however it is unlikely that his Pikachu is based on the Pikachu received in Pokémon Yellow, as the first volume of Pokémon Special was first released on August 8, 1997 in Japan and Pokémon Yellow was first released on September 12, 1998 in Japan. However, the battlable character Red himself seems to have taken some form of influence from the manga character Red, as Red owns a {{p|Snorlax}}, an {{p|Espeon}}, a Pikachu and a {{P|Venusaur}}, having borrowed a {{P|Charizard}} and {{P|Blastoise}} during the course of the anime. Red's Charizard, Pikachu and Snorlax may also have been based on [[Ash's Charizard]], {{AP|Snorlax}} and {{AP|Pikachu}} in the anime.
