Rampardos is a large, dark-gray dinosaur-like Pokémon which, like its predecessor Cranidos, is based upon a Pachycephalosaurus. Rampardos has a blue stripe on its tail and one blue stripe on each of its knees and wrists. Rampardos also has a spike on each knee. Rampardos has a blue collar on its neck with two spikes on it. Two of Rampardos's head spikes are bigger than the other two. Its red eyes are obstructed by its dome-shaped head. Two short spikes are on this Pokémon's nose.

Like its pre-evolution, Rampardos's strength lies within its fierce head-butting attacks. A charging Rampardos can knock down virtually anything with one hit.
Behavior
Rampardos enjoy barging into objects with their heads to train their strength and reflexes.
Habitat
Rampardos once lived in jungles, but has been extinct from the wild for 100 million years and only exists via being cloned from Fossil samples.
Fossils from which Cranidos can be resurrected are only found in the Sinnoh and Unova regions.
Rampardos, the Head Butt Pokémon and the evolved form of Cranidos. Its Headbutt attack is so powerful that it can pulverize even the sturdiest of objects with one hit.
A Rampardos was used against Hiori and company during their final assault on Team Galactic's Base. It battled Lily's Leafeon, compensating its weakness to Grass-type attacks with super-effective moves of its own.
Rampardos has the highest Attack base stat of all Rock-type Pokémon, and the highest Attack base stat of all non-legendary Pokémon.

Origin
Rampardos is based on the family of dinosaurs known as Pachycephalosauridae, although the head ornamentation resembles that of the Stygimoloch or Dracorex because of its height.
Name origin
Rampardos may be a combination of rampart (a defensive wall), ram (to slam into) or rampage and hard. Dos is derived from Cranidos.
Rampald may be a combination of rampart or ram and hard or bald.
