Ralts uses the horns on its head to read people and Pokémon's emotions. It is known to inhabit {{DL|List of Pokémon by habitat|Urban Pokémon|urban areas}}, but it does not normally show itself to humans. However, when it senses happy feelings, it will approach people. If its {{pkmn|Trainer}} is in a cheerful mood, it also becomes cheerful and joyous. If it senses warm feelings, its body will slightly warm up. It takes cover if it senses hostility.

* Despite the fact that Wally caught his Ralts on Route 102 at level 5 in Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, it is impossible for the player to catch a level 5 Ralts in the entire game, beside by breeding one.

** This may have been done so Wally could have a "starter" Pokémon at the same level as the player's.
