Pokémon Dark Violet is a total conversion for FireRed and a complete re-imagining of Pokémon Red and Green, created by Chaos Rush. According to Chaos Rush, Dark Violet is how ''he'' would remake them and is completely different from FireRed and LeafGreen. The story centers around Red, Blue and Green, three teenagers, two from Pallet Town and one from Viridian City respectively, preparing to set off on their Pokémon journey. The game features 210 Pokémon, both from Kanto and Johto, with new sprites created by Chaos Rush based around their DS sprites, new tilesets that are based around HeartGold and SoulSilver, 113 new moves added, some from Generation IV, V and new custom ones that don't replace the old moves, as the old moves come with new animations. Generation IV's Physical/Special split was implemented, new remixed music that is based around the HGSS versions, as well as custom ones for important characters such as Red/Green having a custom theme, similar to Brendan and May in Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, as well as changing the overworld sprites for all the characters into R/S/E styled ones, and Blue and Red/Green have a custom battle theme, as well as adding in Team Rocket's battle theme when they are encountered. Team Rocket also has more relevance to the game's plot, as well as the rival from Gold, Silver and Crystal, named Kamon, can be battled as he is set to destroy Team Rocket himself, and the Executives that were properly introduced in HGSS are encountered and fought as well. The game's difficulty also has increased making it more challenging, as well as bring a new experience to the game's story. The game is currently at Beta 2.1, with the game going as far as doing the Silph Co. plot and defeating Sabrina. The game is centered around Johto, Kanto, as well as the Orange Archipelago. Along with Team Rocket, a new team known as Team Saturn has been added and their goal is to capture the Legendary Pokémon to take over the world.
