 In ''[[JN029|There's a New Kid in Town!]]'', Yamper found a {{p|Pidove}} that had an injured wing and brought it to the house. Chloe and Parker helped it to recover, causing Yamper to become jealous of the attention that Chloe was giving Pidove. Over the two days, Yamper became increasingly annoyed by Pidove, who insisted on riding on his back. Later, a {{p|Fearow}} began to attack Pidove and Yamper protected it, attacking it with Spark while under Chloe's command. Pidove was later returned to its rightful Trainer, with Yamper seeing his new friend off.
-In [[JN049]], Yamper abandoned Ash on one of his walks, and went past an [[Eevee Evolution Laboratory]]. He catches the attention of a female {{p|Eevee}}, who wanders out of the lab and begins to mimic his waddling walk. He discovers her after she mimics him sneezing, ruffling the yellow fur on his neck in an attempt to intimidate her. Unfazed, she mimics his intimidation attempt back and tries to tackle him, which fails as she injures herself. After checking on her, Yamper becomes friendly and happily wags his tail. Shortly afterwards, they spot two lab assistants running out of the lab with a net, chasing after Eevee in order to capture her. They run off, escaping into the [[Vermilion City school]]. Yamper runs up to the classroom where Chloe is and barks to get her attention. Once she comes out to meet him, he brings her to the Eevee, who was hiding in a bush. With Chloe’s and Goh’s help, the two escape the lab assistants only to discover that Team Rocket kidnapped their classmates’ and Goh’s Pokémon. Yamper attempts to attack their {{p|Pelipper}} with {{m|Spark}} but is repelled by its {{m|Wing Attack}}. However, when Eevee copies his Spark with {{m|Copycat}}, he combines his Spark with hers and the two defeat it.
