Roxie has her father take the students of the [[Aspertia City]] [[Pokémon academy|Trainers' School]] to Castelia City as a reward for winning the [[Autumn Choir Tournament]]. Roxie later reveals that her father once wanted to be a movie star and planned on giving up his job as a ship captain to do so. When Pop Roxie saw {{adv|Blake}} and {{adv|Whitley}}'s performance at Pokéstar Studios, he realized that they were better than him and gave up.
