Pokémon in Hungary: Difference between revisions

The first three seasons were first broadcasted on {{wp|RTL Club}} from June 10, 2000 till Early 2004 with episodes airing every Saturday and Sunday. During 2001, a controversy arose from ORTT that Pokémon affected children's brain development and that it had a negative impact on children. Despite this controversy, {{wp|RTL Club}} continued to aired because dropping the anime during that time would have caused them to lose up to 50 million Euros (58.3 million US Dollars) in profit and they would lose a majority of their young audience, which was tremendous at the time.<ref>[https://hu.toonsphere.com/2015/04/pokemon-anime-magyarorszagi-tortenete-r/ Pokémon: Az anime magyarországi története] - toonsphere.com</ref> Beginning in Early 2004, a new channel known as A + (or Anime +) began to re-air the 1st season of the anime before skipping to Season 4 and moving on from there till Mid-2006 when the company was sold and changed its name to Animax. Animax aired seasons 5 & 6 through 2007, though the exact air dates for these seasons are unkown. The RTL Club had once again started the anime's 7th season, but after three runs it was removed from TV. It unknown whether Seasons 8 & 9 were aired on TV but episodes of these seasons are available online. The release for these seaons are currently unknown. The 10th & 11th seasons of the Diamond and Pearl Series began to air on Jetix (previously named Fox Kids and later renamed Disney Channel) in 2009 but with most of voice actors having been replaced. However, when Jetix changed into the Disney Channel, season 12 was made with the original voice actors being brought back and aired till Early 2011. However, like in Romania, the 13th season of the Diamond and Pearl series was skipped. Anything beyond Galactic Battles (Season 12) hasn’t been dubbed as of now. Reasons to this have been unknown.
