=====Alternate forms=====
{{incomplete|section|Table is incomplete}}
If a Pokémon that can be hatched from an Egg has multiple forms, the offspring will usually inherit its form from its mother or non-Ditto parent. A {{p|Burmy}} will always hatch with the same cloak as its mother; but if bred between a {{p|Mothim}} and Ditto, it will always default to Plant Cloak.
However, there are a few exceptions to this rule. A {{p|Vivillon}}, hatched as a {{p|Scatterbug}}, has its pattern determined by the real-world location of the save file it originated from, regardless of its mother's pattern. And any hatched {{p|Sinistea}} will always be a Phony Form, even if its parent was an Antique Form. Lastly, the [[Gigantamax|Gigantamax Factor]] cannot be passed down by breeding.
