Pokémon Visual Companion is a hardcover Pokémon book published by BradyGames in December 2, 2013. It is 208 pages long. The book acts as a guide to the Pokémon animated series, covering the story arcs from the original series to the Black & White series.
It features Pokédex references, facts and figures of Pokémon from each explored region, and the Pokémon encountered throughout Ash's journey. It also contains information about key characters, battles and places in the anime, all accompanied by large colored pictures.

Errors
- The following errors are corrected in the following edition.
- On page 29, Stunfisk's height is listed as 14.5 m tall instead of 0.7 m.
- On page 58, the "Strange Meowth Balloon Floating above Sinnoh" and "Sinister Hunter J Wanted on Multiple Accounts of Theft" side stories refer to the Team Rocket's mechas and J's pages, said to be on pages 74 and 129, respectively. However, said pages actually lead to Johto and Nando's pages.
- On page 180, in the section of Ash's battle at the Virbank Gym, Boldore is misrepresented by a picture of Krokorok.
- On page 199, Vanillish, Vanillite, Vanilluxe, and Venipede are missing their imperial heights and weights.
- On page 8, Ash is said to have obtained his hat by mailing box tops. However, he actually obtained it by mailing postcards, as mentioned in Primeape Goes Bananas.
- There are many errors in the section on Ash's Pokémon:
- On page 10, a screen-cap of Ash with his Krookodile is shown instead of an anime promo.
- On page 11, the book says that Charmander occassionally returns to reunite with Ash, though the Pokémon in question is actually Charizard.
- On page 12, Primeape is misspelled as Primape.
- On the same page, the book implies that Ash caught one Tauros instead of 30. This may be related to the banning of the episode where Ash caught his Tauros for excessive gun usage.
- On page 13, the book says that Ash caught a Pidgey instead of Pidgeotto.
- On the same page, Butterfree's right wing can be seen to be cut off.
- On page 14, Bulbasaur is misspelled as Bulbasuar.
- On page 37, Cleavon Schpielbunk is misspelled as Klieban Spielbunk.
- On page 38, Fiorella Cappuccino's surname is misspelled as Cappucino.
- On page 52, Team Rocket's motto from Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl is shown, despite not being in use at the time of printing. This is most likely due to this book reusing much of the original content from the previous edition and failing to update it.
- On page 54, Caserin and Luverin's names are misspelled as Kasurin and Loverin.
- On page 55, a picture of Ho-Oh's flame is seen under the section for the Indigo Plateau Conference, but it was actually at the Silver Conference, as seen in Pop Goes The Sneasel.
- There are several errors in the section of Ash's Gym battles in Kanto:
- On page 56, Ash's first battle at the Pewter Gym is omitted.
- On the same page, Geodude is misspelled as Gedodude, while Vermilion Gym is misspelled as Vermillion Gym.
- On page 56, Ash's first battle at the Pewter Gym is omitted.
- On page 57, Ash's battle with Aya is included in the description of his battle at the Fuchsia Gym, despite actually battling Koga.
- On the same page, despite battling Team Rocket at the Viridian Gym, the Gym Leader is still listed as Giovanni.
- Several type colors are different in the guide compared to how they are represented in the games:
- On page 71, Professor Philena Ivy's middle name is misspelled as Felina.
- On the same page, she is said to have a Magikarp in her laboratory, but it is actually at Professor Oak's, as seen in Poké Ball Peril.
- On page 73, Cissy is misspelled as Sissy.
- On page 81, the book swaps the order in which Ash challenged the Azalea Gym and Goldenrod Gym.
- On the same page, Pidgeot is spelled to as Pigeot, its Japanese name, while Falkner is misspelled as Faulkner.
- Additionally, the book says that Chikorita used "Sweet Smell", but it was actually Sweet Scent.
- On the same page, Pidgeot is spelled to as Pigeot, its Japanese name, while Falkner is misspelled as Faulkner.
- On page 96, Cascoon is misspelled as Casoon.
- On page 101, Brodie is listed under the section for Team Aqua, but he was actually part of Team Magma, as seen Unfair Weather Friends.
- On page 106, the book says that Wattson's Magneton used "Shock Cannon", but it was actually Zap Cannon.
- On page 131, Froslass is misspelled as Frosslass, while Bewilder Forest is misspelled as Bewilder Forrest.
- On the same page, Magmortar can be seen with three arms and two heads.
- On page 149, Giratina's Altered Forme is given the metric height and weight of its Origin Forme.
- On page 158, Porygon-Z is misrepresented by a picture of Porygon2.
- On page 159, Wormadam's Sandy and Trash Cloak's types are incorrectly stated as Bug/Grass.
- On page 160, Bianca's right sclera is colored black instead of white.
- On page 178, Striaton Gym is misspelled as Straiton Gym.
- On page 179, Lenora's Herdier is said to have used Mean Look to force the Pokémon to switch out instead of Roar.
- On page 180, Virbank Gym is misspelled as Verbank Gym.
- On page 190, Zekrom's type is incorrectly stated as Dragon/Flying.
- There are many errors in the section on Unova's Pokédex:
- On page 192, Amoonguss's height is listed as 2'01" instead of 2'00".
