In Japan, this card was available as an insert with Special Edition versions of CoroCoro Comics, released in August 1999. The card was never released in English.
Trivia
The card text on the top right of the card border reads: "Movie "Pikachu’s Rescue Adventure" special jumbo card ".
The card text on the bottom of the card border features the CoroCoro logo and reads: "CoroCoro Comics extra issue: August issue supplement."
This card was released as a Jumbo card and was therefore not legal to use in tournaments or official events.
