An upcoming core series game for Nintendo Switch was announced by Tsunekazu Ishihara of The Pokémon Company on June 13, 2017, during the Nintendo Spotlight presentation at E3. While Game Freak has begun working on the game, it may not release before mid-2018 at earliest.[1]
