Pokémon GO Plus
The Pokémon GO Plus is a peripheral for use with Pokémon GO. It will be available for purchase in late July. It notifies the player about in-game events—such as the appearance of wild Pokémon—via multicolor LED and vibration. It communicates with the phone via Bluetooth.
Since the game is available as a free download, Pokémon GO Plus must be purchased separately.
Pokémon GO Plus can be worn either by clipping it to clothing, or on a wristband.
It has the same design as the marker used in the Google Maps: Pokémon Challenge.
Functionality
When a wild Pokémon is nearby, the Pokémon GO Plus will start flashing green and vibrate. Pressing the button on the device will throw a Poké Ball. If the capture is successful, the light will flash rainbow colors; if it flashes red, the capture failed.
It is also possible to collect items using the Pokémon GO Plus.
