Pokémon Abode

The original Big Four forums were were the boards which had formed the "Anti-Spammer Alliance", and were generally considered to be the largest, most active, and best run Pokémon forums of the day. They were UPNetwork, Bulbagarden, The PokeMasters, and Pokémon Abode, in the order presented by the original banners.

The term is believed to have been coined only after February 2002, by which time the constituents had all died.

Although there is no consensus on who the current Big Four are, if one includes every Pokémon forum, then the current Big Four includes the Serebii forums, with the rest being any three of The PokéCommunity, Bulbagarden, TPM, Pokémon Fan Universe, or pkmn.net.
