Released as part of the promotional World Collection, this card was printed in nine different languages: English, Italian, Korean, Spanish, Japanese, German, French, Polish, and Portuguese. Each print is Cosmos Holofoil and has an illustration by a different artist. It was originally released in Japan on July 8, 2010 as part of the Pikachu World collection. 7-11 stores in Japan sold an exclusive Pikachu World that included an alternate Japanese print with a green background instead of blue. It was subsequently released as the World Collection in English in November 2010.
Many of the illustrations take inspiration from aspects of the respective language's country, such as the English, French, Italian, Polish, and Portuguese prints using colors of the countries' flags; additionally, the flowers on the Italian and Polish cards are actually arranged into the patterns on their respective flags.
The English release keeps the same collection symbol as the Japanese Pikachu World release, despite the name change.
