Pickup (Japanese: ものひろい Picking Up Things) is an ability introduced in Generation III. Nine Pokémon have this ability.

The ability was shown in the anime episode Showdown at Linoone and the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Adventure manga chapter Find Munchlax!!.

Effect

In battle

Pickup has no effect during battle.

Outside of battle

Pickup allows the player to receive free items. After a battle, any Pokémon on the team that has this ability and is not already holding an item has a 10% chance of picking up an item. It can be retrieved through the normal means of taking a held item.
