Paul's Magmar (Japanese: シンジのブーバー Shinji's Boober) is a Pokémon owned by Paul. It was first seen in a flashback in DP066. It battled against Maylene, defeating her Lucario and winning the Cobble Badge. It appeared again, in person this time, in DP100.

• Some speculate that Magmar is Paul's replacement for Chimchar, as in Glory Blaze!, he said after releasing Chimchar he would find another Fire-type.
• Magmar is the second of Paul's Pokémon to first appear in a flashback, the other being Ninjask.
