==Plot==

{{adv|Gold}} and {{adv|Crystal}}, bewildered that the [[Masked Man]] appears to be somewhere else, and not among the [[Gym Leader]]s as they were told, then realize that {{p|Ho-Oh}} is the one being attacked. [[Carl]] and [[Sham]] boast that not even [[legendary Pokémon]] escape capture by the Masked Man. They switch off the live recording, declaring that the Masked Man's arrival is imminent, and that [[Team Rocket]] will be resurrected once more. With that, they throw down their Team Rocket jackets and put on their half-masks.

Gold, still unable to move, suddenly realizes that it is because of {{m|Roar}}. He and Crystal find themselves surrounded by several {{p|Houndoom}} and {{p|Persian}}. [[Aibo]] finds a way to release [[Polibo]] from its {{i|Poké Ball}}, and the {{p|Politoed}} instantly puts its opposition to sleep. However, Sham's {{p|Slowking}} {{m|snore}}s loudly to create solid air blocks, and Carl's {{p|Magcargo}} breathes out fire while asleep. Crystal has [[Bonee]] swat away Slowking's Snore while Gold has Polibo counter Magcargo's {{t|Fire}} attack. Both soon struggle with their opponents.

Sham wastes no time with their opponents' struggle, and begins hacking the central controls. Gold and Crystal eventually have {{p|Parasect|Parasee}} and [[Sunbo]]'s combined {{m|Giga Drain}} knock out Magcargo and Slowking by sending them crashing towards their Trainers. By this time, the alert sirens sound. Despite being grabbed by the collar by Gold, Carl gloats at his successful mission before fainting. The monitors state that the [[Magnet Train]] lock is being released. 

At the Magnet Train station serving the [[Indigo Plateau]], two guards who are watching the Magnet Train suddenly become horrified when the train's lights flicker on to reveal a large number of masked {{tc|Team Rocket Grunt}}s inside. The guards quickly rush to alert their boss, but the [[Team Rocket Elite Trio]] zap them unconscious and enter the train.
