Neutralizing Gas (Ability)

Neutralizing Gas (Japanese: かがくへんかガス Chemical Change Gas) is an Ability introduced in Generation VIII. It is the signature Ability of Koffing's evolutionary lines.

Effect

In battle

Neutralizing Gas suppresses the effects of Abilities of all Pokémon currently in battle.

When Neutralizing Gas is no longer applying, Abilities that activate when a Pokémon is switched in (such as Intimidate) that were suppressed immediately activate before the switch is resolved (potentially uselessly decreasing Weezing's Attack for Intimidate). Neutralizing Gas cannot be copied by Trace (even as part of the switch-out sequence).
