After {{TRT}} arrived with their [[Team Rocket's mechas|mecha]] and stole the Pokémon, Mr. Backlot and Monica drove Ash and {{an|Brock}} directly to the trio. {{an|Dawn}} eventually found Team Rocket and defeated them just as Mr. Backlot and others caught up. After Team Rocket was defeated, Mr. Backlot was happily reunited with his Pokémon. Everyone returned to the mansion to wave goodbye to the group and the {{TP|Dawn|Swinub}} that Dawn {{pkmn2|caught}}.
