Miranda (Hoenn)
Miranda (Japanese: ミランダ Miranda) is the caretaker of the Mirage Kingdom Palace. She appeared in The Princess and the Togepi and A Togepi Mirage.
Miranda was shown to be knowledgeable of the Mirage Kingdom's folklore and the role of Togepi in its monarchy, being able to explain it to Ash and his friends. She was suspicious of Colonel Hansen and decided to help Princess Sara, along with Ash, Brock, May, Max, and Misty, to prevent his plan to forcibly take the throne of the Mirage Kingdom from Sara's parents.
She was transported, alongside Princess Sara, Ash, and his friends, to the Togepi Paradise after Misty's Togepi used its Safeguard to defend the group from Colonel Hansen's Shedinja. Miranda had been to the Togepi Paradise once before, when she accompanied Princess Sara's father during his coronation. She explained that the Togepi Paradise and Mirage Kingdom would help protect each other before noticing its unusually dull appearance.
After the group returned to the Mirage Kingdom, she helped Brock and Max find Sara's parents. Team Rocket, disguised as fortune tellers, provided the trio with a useful hint, and Miranda was able to free the King and Queen in time to arrest Colonel Hansen.
