Miltank (Japanese: ミルタンク Miltank) is a Normal Pokémon.
Miltank (Japanese: ミルタンク Miltank) is a Normal Pokémon introduced in Generation II.

It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon.
It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon, but it is considered to be a counterpart of Tauros.

Biology
Biology
Physiology
Miltank is a bipedal, bovine Pokémon, which can only be female. Its body is mostly pink, with a yellow belly and black, angular markings along its back. A black hood-like marking surrounds its face with a pink, triangular mark on its forehead. There are two small horns on top of its head. It has large, blue eyes, a black nose, and a wide mouth, as well as long, black, floppy ears with yellow insides. Miltank has a yellow udder with four pink teats. All four of its limbs end in black, cloven hooves, and its long tail is tipped with a black sphere. In The Young Flame Strikes Back!, a smaller Miltank was shown without any horns or teats, implying that this is what young Miltank look like.
Miltank is a mostly pink colored bipedal cow with blue eyes, small horns and a long, cream-colored tail with a black ball in the end. She has a cream colored belly with an udder. There are black spots on her back as well as a black "hood".

Gender differences
Miltank is a female-only species. Many fans consider its male counterpart to be Tauros, despite the facts that Tauros was introduced a generation earlier and that Miltank cannot produce Tauros Eggs.

Special abilities
Miltank is the only known Pokémon that learns Milk Drink. The milk that it produces is very nutritious and can be used to heal Pokémon.

Behavior
Unlike Tauros, Miltank are much more placid Pokémon and spend most of their time eating and digesting grass and other plants. However, they also possess a stubborn streak that may be unwilling to comply if they don't receive the proper training required. When properly trained, they can be a very useful asset, both in milking and battling.

Habitat
Miltank are happiest in fresh pastures.

Diet
Pokémon food
Miltank are Sap Sipper. They mostly consume grass, which they convert into milk. Miltank are also known to eat Berries and Poffins, provided usually by Trainers unless they have been left lying around.

Major appearances
Whitney's Miltank
Whitney first appeared under the ownership of Whitney during A Goldenrod Opportunity and A Dairy Tale Ending where she was used in a Gym battle against Ash's Pokémon.

Other
Whitney's uncle, Milton, also has multiple Miltank at his farm in A Dairy Tale Ending.

In Got Miltank?, a Miltank was guarding an area that was for Pokémon only.

Four Miltank appeared in Tanks for the Memories!. One under Autumn's ownership, nicknamed "Ilta" (ルータン Rūtan), two under Spring's and another one under Summer's.

Minor appearances
In the Pokémon Adventures manga
Whitney is seen as Whitney's main Pokémon powerhouse, which she used in a bike race with Gold. She later took it to the Mahogany Gym with DJ Mary and her crew in Irked Igglybuff and Curmudgeonly Cleffa, and used it to fight a moving sculpture that they believed was Suicune, where it failed even with an ice floor-augmented Rollout attack, and had to team up with Pryce to win.

She later uses it in the Pokémon League Gym Leader tournament against Misty, but her Starmie takes it out with ease.
In every generation except for Generations VI and VII, Milk Drink is the signature move of Miltank. Prior to Generation VI, Miltank was the only known Pokémon capable of learning the move Milk Drink. The milk that it produces is sweet and very nutritious, and can be used to heal Pokémon and ill or weary humans. Drinking a large amount of Miltank's milk will cause the Pokémon or person to gain weight and develop stomach pains. The taste and nutrition of its milk improves with the quality of the pastures it lives in, and the taste itself changes with the season. It can produce over five gallons of milk per day, which in turn can be turned into yogurt or enjoyed unchanged by children and adults alike. Miltank can become ill if it is not milked every day. Miltank lives in List of Pokémon by habitat, and is also raised on farms. Miltank has been supporting the lives of people and other Pokémon since ancient times with its ability to produce milk.

Earlier, in the Farm, Eusine feigns healing a Miltank in Miltank Melee.

In the Pokémon Gold & Silver: The Golden Boys manga
Whitney's Miltank
One of Whitney's main Pokémon in Pokémon Gold & Silver: The Golden Boys is a Miltank.

In the Pokémon Pocket Monsters manga
Red was revealed to have a Miltank in A Finger Lickin' Battle!.

Giovanni stole five Miltank during Messing up the Farm!!. Professor Oak was able to rescue them from Giovanni and takes them under his control.

Whitney also has a Whitney as shown in Fierce Battle Between Clefairy and Clefable.

A Miltank appeared in PMDP52 and Participate in the Pokéathlon!!.

Miltank appears as a Spirit.

Trivia
Trivia
* Miltank has the highest base Defense of all non-legendary Normal-type Pokémon at 105.
* Miltank can be seen as a counterpart to Tauros. Both are bovine-like Pokémon with the same base stat total. While Miltank is a female-only species, Tauros is a male-only species.
* Miltank's Silver and FireRed Pokédex entries imply that Miltank gives live birth like real-world mammals, despite Pokémon Eggs being introduced in the same generation as the former. This may be the reason why the entry was altered in SoulSilver.
** Despite not being associated with a certain group, both Miltank and Tauros are listed in the same Pokédex page in Sun and Moon and Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. The same trait is true with Oranguru and Passimian.
* Miltank's Silver and FireRed Pokédex entries imply that Miltank gives live birth like real-world mammals, despite the fact that Pokémon reproduce via Eggs.
