Mew (Pokémon): Difference between revisions

Mew is a {{DL|List of Pokémon by body style|Pokémon with a bipedal, tailed form|bipedal}} Pokémon with three-fingered paws, large feet, and a long, thin tail ending in an ovoid tip. Its ears are triangular, and its face is defined by its wide snout and large, blue eyes. Its pink hair is so fine and thin, it can only be seen under a microscope.

As demonstrated by its behavior in the [[M01|first]] and [[M08|eighth]] Pokémon movies, Mew shows signs of intelligence, [[Mew (M01)|curiosity]], playfulness, and even [[Mew (M08)|selflessness]]. It is said to contain the {{wp|DNA}} of every single Pokémon within its body, and as such is incredibly adaptable: it can learn every TM and HM move, and can travel freely in the air or {{img|M01_comparison_2.png|underwater}}.  

[[Pokémon Mansion journals|Reports]] found in [[Cinnabar Island]]'s {{ka|Pokémon Mansion}} note scientific expeditions (either independent or [[Team Rocket]]-funded) which have sighted Mew in [[Guyana]], South America, the place where it was first discovered. However, since Mew can make itself invisible at will, very few people have knowingly seen it, leading some scientists to declare it extinct and most to assume it to be a mirage. It will only show itself to a person who is pure of heart.
