Korrina used her {{p|Lucario}} to battle Blaziken, but was quickly losing due to Lucario's weakness to Blaziken's {{t|Fire}}- and {{type|Fighting}} moves. However, thanks to Ash and his friends' encouragements, Korrina kept fighting, and eventually managed to pin Blaziken down. Just when Lucario was about to serve the finishing strike, the battle was interrupted by [[Gurkinn]], and it was revealed that the battle had been a test to see if Korrina was worthy of obtaining the Lucarionite. Seeing Korrina's worthiness, Gurkinn allowed Korrina to take the Mega Stone. The episode ended with Lucario holding the Lucarionite and Korrina using her Mega Glove to trigger the Mega Evolution.
