Fukuda holds many artists in high regard and has several interests. He is a fan of mecha and admires the work of designer {{wp|Hajime Katoki}}. Other favorites include manga artists {{wp|Katsuhiro Otomo}}, {{wp|Masamune Shirow}} and {{wp|Akira Toriyama}}, as well as illustrators {{wp|Jun Suemi}} and Takani Yoshiyuki, who designed the package art for many military model kits in the 1960s. He is a keen biker, engages in wide-angle photography, and enjoys electronic music and music from the late 60s, particularly that of {{wp|James Brown}}.
