Mantine (Japanese: マンタイン Mantain) is a Water/Flying-type Pokémon.

In February 2006, a scan from the March issue of CoroCoro unveiled a new ledgendary, alongside three silhouettes. One of these silhouettes was revealed to be a pre-evolution of Mantine named タマンタ Tamanta, known in English as Mantyke.

In the anime

Mantine first appeared as a dreamed up Pokémon in Spell of the Unown. Molly Hale used it against Misty's Staryu.

Mantine was also used by a trainer that was searching for the Silver Feather in EP214.

In EP256 Mantine appeared under the ownership of Dorien, owner of the Coastline "Gym".

Brock's mother, Lola owns a Mantine which was used in her battle against Brock's Onix.

In Pokémon Ranger and the Prince of the Sea: Manaphy, Jack Walker uses his capture stylus on one of these Kite Pokémon so it can help Jack get away from Captain Phantom during the begining of the movie.
