The '''Manalo Festival''' (Japanese: '''マナーロ祭り''' ''Manalo Festival'') is an {{pkmn|animated series}}-exclusive holiday that is celebrated in the [[Alola]] region. It was first mentioned in the {{aniseries|SM}} episode ''[[SM087|Filling the Light with Darkness!]]''.

The Manalo Festival occurs once every 21 years during a solar eclipse. On that day, each of the [[island kahuna]]s go to the respective ruins of Alola's {{an|guardian deities}} and offer a prayer of thanks to the {{p|Necrozma|Blinding One}}, the Legendary Pokémon said to have created Alola.

The island kahunas of [[Melemele Island]], [[Akala Island]], and [[Ula'ula Island]] were seen participating in the festival in ''[[SM088|Full Moon and Many Arms!]]'', where the islands' respective guardian deities watched them.

In ''[[SM090|Securing the Future!]]'', massive crowds gathered at [[Melemele Island]], [[Akala Island]] and [[Ula'ula Island]] to participate in the Festival ceremony being held by the respective island kahunas. During the Festival, the people and Pokémon of the four islands shared their [[Z-Power]] with {{an|Necrozma}} to help it regain its {{DL|List of Pokémon with form differences|Necrozma|true form}}.

According to {{an|Kiawe}}, "''manalo''" is an old term that means "you and I are living here together".
