Make It Rain (Japanese: ゴールドラッシュ Gold Rush) is a damage-dealing Steel-type move introduced in Generation IX. It is the signature move of Gholdengo.

Effect

Make It Rain inflicts damage and lowers the user's Special Attack by one stage. In a battle with multiple opponents, Make It Rain will target all adjacent opponents.

For each target the move hits, coins are scattered on the ground. $5 multiplied by the user's level are scattered each time. No coins are scattered in Tera Raid Battles. If the player wins the battle, they will pick up all the scattered coins and receive the total money amount. The amount doubles if any of the player's Pokémon that took part in the battle were holding an Amulet Coin; however, having more than one Pokémon holding the item does not further increase the money amount.

Description

Games Description
SV The user attacks by throwing out a mass of coins. This also lowers the user's Sp. Atk stat. Money is earned after the battle.

Trivia

  • "Make it rain" is an idiom in the English language which means to make wealth or to show off wealth; in the latter sense, it often refers to the act of throwing money into the air, to make it appear as if it is raining money. Due to this, despite its English name, this move does not actually summon rain.
  • This move originated as a TCG attack.
