This Shroomish was found in the [[Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire beta#Debugging Version 0509A prototype|German-language debugging prototype]] of {{game|Ruby}}. It can be obtained in the prototype by selecting "キノココ FULL" (Kinococo FULL) in the Debug Menu<ref name="Debug Menu" /> and can then be [[traded]] it to another [[Generation III]] game. It was distributed as an [[Egg]].
