{{p|Loudred}} first appeared in ''[[AG022|A Hole Lotta Trouble]]'' where it ran by and stepped on [[Jessie]] when she was climbing up to the next floor or [[Granite Cave]]. In the [[AG023|next episode]] Jessie fell on top of it while it was sleeping when she hastily ran to catch [[Ash's Corphish|whatever was attacking]] {{Ash}} and {{ashfr}}. Loudred then sent her, [[James]] and {{MTR}} flying with an extremely loud {{m|Screech}} attack.

It reappeared again in ''[[AG026|Turning Over a Nuzleaf]]'' where it was pinched on the ear by Ash's Corphish. Loudred ran around in pain, screeching, causing the {{TP|May|Silcoon}} to fall from {{an|May}}'s arms and roll off, separating it and the other Pokémon that went to its rescue to become separated from their Trainers. Loudred's last appearance was in ''[[AG027|A Three Team Scheme!]]'' where [[Professor Birch]] fell from a {{p|Wingull}}'s nest on to it, waking it from its sleep. Loudred screeched at him before leaving.  

{{p|Spoink}} first appeared in ''[[AG079|Pearls are a Spoink's Best Friend]]''. It had lost its pearl, and {{Ash}} and {{ashfr}} were trying to find it. As it turns out, {{TRT}} had found it and had traded it to the [[Magikarp salesman]] for a {{DL|List of Pokémon temporarily owned by the Team Rocket trio|Magikarp}}. After learning this, the kids confronted the salesman and demanded he give back the pearl. Team Rocket also demanded he give them the pearl back as well. In the ensuing battle, Spoink's pearl was returned and Team Rocket was sent blasting off.

It made its second, and final, appearance in ''[[AG093|Clamperl of Wisdom]]''. Like the previous time, it had lost its pearl. This time, it was lost in the ocean without any way of retrieving it. But the kids learned from a scientist named [[Isaiah]] that Spoink's pearls come from {{p|Clamperl}}. Eventually, they found a Clamperl who was willing to give its pearl to Spoink. They said goodbye to Spoink, and it hasn't been seen since that episode.

Unlike most Pokémon, Malamar is a cruel and evil Pokémon with a mysterious dark past. Though there have been many mischievous, manipulative and misunderstood Pokémon in the series, the wild Malamar are unique for being the only ones to seek world dominion without any known human influence. Malamar had no trouble with its plans for world domination as it hypnotized people and Pokémon to do its bidding. However, Trainers with a strong bond with their Pokémon such as {{Ash}} with {{AP|Pikachu}} and [[James]] with {{TP|James|Inkay}} are able to break free of Malamar's hypnotic control, or by pain as seen in Meowth's case, snapping out of it by {{m|Fury Swipes|scratching}} himself - or others such as Ash - repeatedly in the face. The three evil Malamar are shown to be psychopaths for they showed no signs of remorse, guilt, or redemption after their plans were stopped by Ash and his friends. They're also shown to be very merciless when their leader brainwashed several Pokémon, Ash's friends, Team Rocket, Pikachu and Officer Jenny and forced them to attack Ash and Meowth without any decency or mercy. They even lack the sense of honor and morality when they refused to accept defeat or learn from their previous mistakes.

{{p|Rayquaza}} first appeared in ''[[SS031|Mega Evolution Special II]]'' where its slumber was disturbed by [[Alain]] and the gang when they excavated a giant megalith. It appears in a fit of rage and violently attacked, fighting against [[Alain]] and [[Steven]] with their Mega Charizard and Mega Metagross, gaining the upper hand before destroying the megalith with {{m|Draco Meteor}}. It then left and returned to the ozone layer.

Later, Florges made her first on-screen appearance in ''[[XY069|Defending the Homeland!]]''. She and her army lived in one corner of the wetlands, while the inhabitants were chased over to a secluded area. In this episode, the same Goomy she attacked returned to the homeland, now a Goodra under the ownership of Ash. When Goodra called for its friends after remembering the good times it had with Wooper, some of the Pokémon under the ownership of Florges recognized it. They alerted Florges about this, who was sitting in a cave where a spring was. Florges then attacked once again along with her army, and Goodra and its friends confronted it. While Goodra and Florges were leading their respective armies of Pokémon and having a showdown, Florges recognized the Goodra as the same Goomy she attacked before and smirked. Soon, it became a showdown between Goodra and Florges. While the two battled well, Goodra learned {{m|Ice Beam}} and defeated Florges. However, Goodra was struck by a {{m|Psybeam}} and {{m|Shadow Ball}} and fainted, and Florges and her army were able to escape. Back at the cave, it is revealed that Florges is bathing her weakened friend, a {{p|Floette}}, in the spring, and after Team Rocket sees this, they call a temporary truce with Florges. As Florges is given commands by Team Rocket, she order one of her Ariados to kidnap {{AP|Pikachu}}, Dedenne, and Wooper.

In ''[[XY070|Beyond the Rainbow!]]'', a direct continuation of the previous episode, Goodra, Ash, and Bonnie confront Florges in her cave to rescue their friends. While they confront Florges, she reveals she is taking care of a weakened Floette. Team Rocket later appears and betrays her and decides to take away all of the water in the wetlands. Seeing as Florges's intentions were not truly malicious, Goodra, Ash, and Bonnie ally with Florges and together, they save the Pokémon from Team Rocket's grasp, doing so with the help of the inhabitants as well as Florges's own army, who ally with each other as well.

The other entity, known by Team Flare by the code name '''Z2''', first appeared in [[XY093]], where it was attacked by [[Mable]], a group of {{tc|Team Flare Grunt}}s, and their Pokémon. Z2 countered their attacks with {{m|Land's Wrath}}, and escaped its pursuers. It was later seen outside [[Terminus Cave]], watching the sun rise. It reappeared in [[XY101]] in Core form where Puni-Chan contacted it. It has a blue core, as opposed to Puni-chan's red core.

Unlike [[Puni-chan]], Z2 greatly distrusts humans. In [[XY102]], Z2 suggested that it and Puni-chan completely seclude themselves from humankind. When Puni-chan disagreed, Z2 asserted that humans disrupt the order they exist to maintain, and are a threat to [[Kalos]].

* An {{AP|Aipom}} began following the group through the [[Kanto]] region, and was caught three episodes later by Ash in ''[[AG182|Channeling the Battle Zone!]]''. She had a habit of taking [[Ash's hat]] from him making him chase her around, sometimes lowering her eyelid and sticking out her tongue at him when he tried to get it back. She was eventually traded to {{an|Dawn}} in ''[[DP055|Throwing the Track Switch]]'' and evolved into an Ambipom in ''[[DP060| Journey to the Unown!]]'' under her care.

* Ash later caught the {{AP|Sunglasses Krokorok|Krokorok}} that had been following him since ''[[BW003|A Sandile Gusher of Change!]]'' in ''[[BW065|Battling the Bully!]]''. He evolved into a Krookodile in ''[[BW092|Ash, Iris, and Trip: Then There Were Three]]'' during his battle against {{an|Iris}}' {{TP|Iris|Dragonite}}.

* Ash also caught a {{AP|Froakie}} in ''[[XY002|Lumiose City Pursuit!]]'' that helped save {{AP|Pikachu}} from {{TRT}} in [[XY001|the previous episode]]. It evolved into a Frogadier in ''[[XY052|A Stealthy Challenge]]'', and then into a Greninja in [[XY099]].
