Lick (Japanese: したでなめる Tongue Lick) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I.

Effect

Lick inflicts damage and has a 30% chance of paralyzing the target. Lick cannot paralyze a target that has a Substitute or already has a major status ailment.

Trivia

  • Lick is the only Ghost move in Generation I that is affected by type match-ups.
  • In the games, Lick only has a base power of 20. However, in the anime, it always seems to knock out the opposing Pokémon.
