The '''Lavaridge Gym''' (Japanese: '''フエンジム''' ''Fuen Gym'') is the official [[Gym]] of [[Lavaridge Town]]. It is based on {{type|Fire}} {{OBP|Pokémon|species}}. The [[Gym Leader]] is [[Flannery]]. {{pkmn|Trainer}}s who defeat her receive the {{Badge|Heat}}.

In {{3v2|Ruby|Sapphire|Emerald}}, the Gym is a bathhouse full of steam and geysers that shoot Trainers from the basement to the first floor. Flannery's students hide in some of the pools.

In {{pkmn|Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire}}, the Gym takes on rocky appearance, with trapdoors to fall in. The bottom floor's floor is now mostly covered in hot spring water.

The Lavaridge Gym first appeared in ''[[AG055|Poetry Commotion!]]''. Flannery had just taken over the Gym from [[Mr. Moore|her grandfather]], but had not yet had a {{pkmn|battle}}. In fact, the battlefield was filled with holes and hadn't been cleaned up since the last Gym battle. {{Ash}} and {{ashfr}} helped Flannery clean up the battlefield, and they had their Gym battle in the [[AG056|following episode]].

===Pokémon used in Gym===

Torkoal was the final Pokémon Flannery used in the Gym battle against {{Ash}} in ''[[AG056|Going, Going, Yawn]]''. With a powerful Overheat attack and a strong Iron Defense, it was able to defeat [[Ash's Pikachu]] and {{AP|Treecko}} easily. Ash then used his last Pokémon, {{AP|Corphish}}, but it was still sleeping after Meg's Yawn attack. During the battle, Corphish woke up and managed to fight on courageously after taking much damage from Flannery's other two Pokémon. After a fierce battle, {{p|Corphish}} managed to defeat Torkoal.

It reappeared in flashbacks in ''[[AG058|All Torkoal, No Play]]'' and ''[[AG075|Whiscash and Ash]]''.

Torkoal's known moves are {{m|Flamethrower}}, {{m|Iron Defense}}, {{m|Sludge Bomb}}, and {{m|Overheat}}.}}
