In ''[[EP258|Hatch Me If You Can]]'', {{Ash}} had a Larvitar he hatched from an {{pkmn|Egg}} given to him by [[Professor Elm]] to deliver to its mother, living on [[Mt. Silver]]. Despite [[Anime move errors|not being able to learn]] {{m|Harden}} in the games, it constantly used it when approached by anyone other than {{Ash}} or {{AP|Pikachu}} prior to ''[[EP264|Mother of All Battles]]''.

Larvitar first appeared in ''[[PK10|Pikachu's PikaBoo]]''. {{AP|Pikachu}} and co. invited Larvitar and its friends to a game of {{wp|hide-and-seek}}, though Larvitar refused. Later, it was feeling left out and viciously kicked a rock at a lawnmower (which went ridiculously haywire afterwards).

In ''[[AG188|Pinch Healing]]'', a {{DL|Matt (AG188)|Larvitar}} was being babysat by a Poké-Sitter named {{OBP|Matt|AG188}}. Ash and {{ashfr}} were helping him with his job. The Larvitar was shy, and used {{m|Sandstorm}} when confronted. By the end of the episode, however, it warmed up to the group, particularly {{an|May}}.

A {{DL|Chris (BW088)|Larvitar}} appeared in ''[[BW088|The Mystery of the Missing Cubchoo!]]'' where it had befriended {{OBP|Chris|BW088}}'s {{DL|Chris (BW088)|Cubchoo}}. It later joined Chris's team at the end of the episode.

A Trainer's Larvitar appeared in ''[[AG159|Off the Unbeaten Path]]'' participating in the [[Pokémon Orienteering]].

A Larvitar also appeared in ''[[DP038|One Big Happiny Family!]]'' in [[Jessie]]'s fantasy.

Another Larvitar appeared in ''[[DP141|Challenging a Towering Figure!]]'' where it battled against a [[Dawn's Piplup]] during the {{DL|Twinleaf Festival|Festival Battle Challenge}}.

Another Larvitar also appeared in ''[[PK24|Meloetta's Moonlight Serenade]]''.
