Pokémon Pocket Monsters

Anakubo's most famous work is the Pokémon gag manga, Pokémon Pocket Monsters. It was one of the first ever Pokémon manga. It is one of the longest-running Pokémon manga series to date and is very well-known in Japan. It has been serialized in CoroCoro ever since its beginnings. The manga is about the adventures of a young boy named Isamu Akai and his rude Clefairy. After fourteen volumes, the original series has ended, but the adventures of the main characters continue in Pokémon Ruby-Sapphire, which takes place in Hoenn, Pocket Monsters DP, which takes place in Sinnoh, and Pocket Monsters HGSS, in which the main characters return to Johto.

Controversy

Though Pocket Monsters was a success, it was briefly taken off the shelves due to nudity in the second chapter of volume one. There was also some nudity in volume two.
