'''Kosaku Anakubo''' (穴久保幸作 ''Anakubo Kosaku''), born April 18th, 1957, is the creator of the manga series [[Pokémon Pocket Monsters]] and its sequels: [[Pokémon Ruby-Sapphire]], {{OBP|Pocket Monsters DP|Kosaku Anakubo}}, {{OBP|Pocket Monsters HGSS|Kosaku Anakubo}}, {{OBP|Pocket Monsters BW|Kosaku Anakubo}} and {{OBP|Pocket Monsters XY|Kosaku Anakubo}}.

 

Kosaku Anakubo has two pet cats, Chinmi and Aiya. There are many references to his cats' names in early chapters of the manga.

Anakubo's most famous work is the Pokémon gag manga, [[Pokémon Pocket Monsters]]. It was one of the first ever [[Pokémon manga]]. It is one of the longest-running Pokémon manga series to date and is very well-known in Japan. It has been serialized in [[CoroCoro]] ever since its beginnings. The manga is about the adventures of a young boy named {{OBP|Red|Pocket Monsters}} and {{TP|Red|his rude Clefairy|Clefairy}}. After fourteen volumes, the original series has ended, but the adventures of the main characters continue in [[Pokémon Ruby-Sapphire]], which takes place in [[Hoenn]], [[Pocket Monsters DP (Kosaku Anakubo)|Pocket Monsters DP]], which takes place in [[Sinnoh]], [[Pocket Monsters HGSS (Kosaku Anakubo)|Pocket Monsters HGSS]], in which the main characters return to Johto, [[Pocket Monsters BW (Kosaku Anakubo)|Pocket Monsters BW]] and [[Pocket Monsters XY (Kosaku Anakubo)|Pocket Monsters XY]].
