Kerrigan watched the {{pkmn|battle}} between a stray {{p|Weavile}} and [[Ash's Aipom]] unfold before he ran onto the scene and scooped up the injured Aipom. He saved his introduction till Aipom was in bed and resting back at his forest base. He also explained to {{Ash}} and {{ashfr}} that the stray Weavile that attacked them was once part of a group of {{p|Sneasel}} and Weavile.

Kerrigan later escorted Ash and his friends through the forest to find Weavile, though it was {{AP|Pikachu}} that led the group to Weavile's location. He was relieved to witness the Weavile and Sneasel make a truce, thus restoring peace to the area.
