Kenji Matsushima (Japanese: 松島賢二[citation needed], 松島賢司[1]) is a designer within Game Freak . He has been involved in the core series Pokémon games since the first entries, Pokémon Red and Green. In addition to his work on the Pokémon games, he has helped with the Pokémon anime, been involved in writing scenario and designing Pokémon concepts and Pokédex texts, and wrote the lyrics for Slateport City. He was also an editor for the book Satoshi Tajiri: New Game Design.
