It is run by a motherly {{p|Kangaskhan}} (affectionately called Aunt Kangaskhan) which allows the player to store items. The space available in Kangaskhan storage increases as the player proceeds through the game in [[Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness|Explorers of Time, Darkness]], and [[Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky|Sky]], while in [[Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team|Red and Blue Rescue Team]] the player can store infinite in the beginning. Rewards which the player does not have space for in their bag are also deposited in Kangaskhan Storage.

Kangaskhan Storage is located in [[Pokémon Square]] in [[Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team|Red and Blue Rescue Team]] and in [[Treasure Town]] in [[Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness|Explorers of Time, Darkness]], and [[Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky|Sky]].

In [[Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity]], the shop has been removed in favor of two chests located near the [[Kecleon Shop]] and next to {{DL|Pokémon Paradise|Quagsire Assembly}} that will store items and [[Poké]].

The storage allowance does not increase upon achievement of the Master *, Master **, Master *** and Guildmaster ranks (Sky only) or Secret Rank.

A Kangaskhan Rock is an item in the {{pkmn|Mystery Dungeon}} games that allows the player to [[save]] their progress and check their storage. The storage feature is not available in the midway point of a dungeon, except for the one in the puzzle room of [[Crystal Cave]] that connects Crystal Cave and [[Crystal Crossing]] and the ones at the 2nd, 4th and 6th [[Sky Peak Mountain Path]]. The save points at the mid-way points in dungeons are also shaped like Kangaskhan Rocks but the game can only be saved and items cannot be stored.

The Kangaskhan Storage and Kangaskhan appeared in the anime special ''[[SS019|Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Team Go-Getters Out of the Gate!]]''. Kangaskhan called out to the newly formed [[Team Go-Getters]] when they were in need of items for their mission. She gave the team {{DL|Scarf (Mystery Dungeon)|Pecha Scarf|Pecha Scarves}} and {{DL|Throwing item|Corsola Twig}}s. She then wished them good luck as they set off on their mission.
